My research focus has been in System Modeling, Analysis, and Optimization using computational intelligence (neural networks, evolutionary algorithms and fuzzy logic), stochastic simulation, and techniques from probability and statistics (design of experiments, regression, analysis of variance, principal components analysis etc.).
Areas of interests include: Discrete Event Stochastic Simulation, Decision Support Systems, Medical Informatics, Health Systems, Information System Design, and Engineering System Design. I received my MS degree in Operations Research from the University of Delaware in 1995 and I received my Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1999. Shortly after that, I started my career at Binghamton University.
